I am a Mom, Wife, Ministry Leader, and a High School Teacher. I am so thankful for the life God has blessed me with. I have a loving husband, an endearing daughter, and most important of all--a relationship with God that has sustained me through every up and down. The key scripture that has guided my life is Luke 12:31: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." I have found this to be true in my life and I thank God for his faithfulness.
My passion for paper projects and creativity really took off after I became pregnant with my first child--my daughter Sarai. But long before she came along, I started doing creative projects as a child with my grandmother. Once she taught me how to sew, I went to work on skirts, a couple of dresses, and of course the easiest project of all: pairs and pairs of shorts! Seemed like every weekend, we'd take trips to the craft store, and I believe it was there that I grew to love the endless possibilites.
Another related passion of mine is language and words. I generally express myself best in writing, and I have always been a lover of books. That's why I majored in English and now teach English to urban high school students. I recognize that words have tremendous power and on the same token, literature gives us a special opportunity to see the world through the eyes of others. These two facts inspire me to keep developing my passion for words. I love being able to share love through my words, so card-making has quickly become one of my favorite hobbies.
